Evaluation of the local isolate Streptomyces kanamyceticus strain Tikrit-5 in control of gray rot disease on eggplant caused by Botrytis cinerea

The study was carried to know the effect of local strain, Streptomyces kanamyceticus on growth and production three varieties eggplant plants its control gray rot disease. results showed that S. with fungicide Prado in presence pathogenic fungus B. cinerea achieved highest plant, shoot root system dry weight leaf area all cultivars compared lowest these parameters treatment. also infection severity pathogen recorded Barcelona cultivar treated (S. kanamyceticus+ Prado) which reached 21.23% 80.06% Norita infected fungus. Botrytis resistance induction agents such as chitinase, β–glucanase, peroxidase polyphenol oxidase other treatments. reflected by induction, reducing improving vegetative characteristics a higher plant productivity. fruit under conditions 588.82 gm 301.41 treatment fungi only.
